Levi Strauss & Co. has been around since 1853 but their commitment to the environmental reaches far into the future. Currently, 67% of their products are made with waterless techniques. By 2020 they are aiming for 100% of their cotton to come from sustainable sources and have all of their suppliers use the Screened Chemistry approach which eliminates potentially dangerous substances before production and identifies better alternatives. There is still work to be done on paying a living wage to its workers.
